On To Seattle
Synchronized swimming teams from the Southwest Region
(Arizona, Nevada, and Southern California) competed in
the 2006 Regional Synchronized Swimming Championships in
San Diego May 20 and 21.
Swimmers from Scottsdale Synchro again gained top
spots in the competition, and the following swimmers
have now gone on to compete in the Nationals competition
in Seattle, Wash., from June 24 through July 1.
18-19 Team — Greta Cerviani, Sonja Cerviani,
Rachael Jake, Devin Maierhofer, Chrissie Stockwell, Anna
Swenson, Jordan Windle, and Shelby Young
18-19 Solo — Greta Cerviani
18-19 Trio — Anna Swenson, Jordan Windle, and
Shelby Young
18-19 Duet — Greta Cerviani and Chrissie
Stockwell
16-17 Team — Laura Christy, Jamie Flanery,
Katelyn Meyer, Jackie Stockwell, Julie Tieni, Catherine
Radachi, and Olivia Widner
14-15 Trio — Jamie Flanery, Catherine Radachi,
and Julie Tieni
Scottsdale Synchro has consistently placed in the top
eight spots at the Nationals Competition for the last
decade. Ellie Tieni, president of the club, says "We
have a great group of talented swimmers and supportive
parents. Most importantly, we have three extremely
talented and committed coaches: Mary Grace, Christea
Hering, and Kylee Wilson."
