Big Fred Hall Shows Are Here Again: Fishing, Boating, And More

Long a favorite tradition in Southern California are the Fred Hall Fishing, Tackle, Boat & Travel Shows presented by Fred Hall & Associates and the American Sportfishing Association.

Arizonans can choose from two outstanding shows: the first in Long Beach and the second in San Diego.

In Long Beach

The first is at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, Calif. 90802. It is billed as “The Greatest Fishing Show on Earth!” and includes some of the world’s finest fishing-tackle manufacturers, exotic fishing lodges, great deals on fishing tackle, boats, and vacations, as well as a great lineup of over 350 seminars.

Wednesday, March 5 from 2 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 6 from 2 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Friday, March 7 from 2 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 8 from 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 9 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Admission for adults is $15, for children (15 years and younger with paid adult, free, and for military and seniors, $14.

In San Diego

The second Fred Hall event is in San Diego at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, Calif., 92014. This show is said to be “San Diego’s oldest, largest, and best boat show” with thousands of fishing items, worldwide lodges, over 200 free seminars, and wakeboard slider competitions.

Admission prices are adults, $12; children (15 years old and younger with paid adult, free; and military and seniors, $10.
