A FAVORITE FEATURE -- of the Phoenix International Sportsmen's Expo is the catch-and-release fishing pond for kids. From March 7-9 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, youth activities include the pond, a rock-climbing wall, and a youth archery range. For all attendees, highlights include daily Dutch-oven cooking clinics, the Fly-Fishing Center, and panel discussions such as "Women in the Outdoors," and presentations by the Arizona Deer Association, Arizona Boating & Watersports news magazine, Fly-Fishing Arizona, and others with the state's top guides and experts. Also on the agenda are competitions such as the Splash Dogs water-jumping contest, distance fly-casting and elk-calling.
